In Year 9 English, you will develop your skills in writing a variety of text types. Set tasks, including novel studies, are increasingly linked to the real-world environment. You will be encouraged to develop your own view on a variety of increasingly complex issues – including writing a persuasive piece to demonstrate the power of the people! Your essay writing skills are further built upon, and you also have the opportunity to write short stories and comparative responses to enhance your understanding and critical thinking skills.
