The Course:

In Media Studies, students learn about a range of social issues through watching films and TV shows. In particular, they will study how 'Good' and 'Evil' is represented in a range of film and television programs and how this relates to racial stereotypes. Students will study texts ranging from the 1960s through to the 2000s. Students will also be able to create their own media products individually and as part of a team in order to learn the different roles in the production process (students are able to choose between film, animation, newspaper/magazine, radio and photography). Through this, students will be able to explore their natural talents and potential future career opportunities.
