The Course
Students listen to music from a range of different times, places and traditions. They explore they way elments of music are and compositinal devices are used to create musical works.
Students compose and/or arrange music and analyse the creative processs invovled.
Unit 1 Topics
- Responses to music- students critically respond to music. The use a range of analytical skills to explore the way the elements of music are manipluated.
- Organisation and context- students explore the sturctureal organisation of musical works, both aurally and visually.
- Creative repsonses- Students compose and/or arrange a folio of short musical works

- Folio of compositions/arrangments
