The focus of Unit 1 is on economics choices and consequences, specifically how a society organises itself to meet the needs and wants of its citizens. The focus of Unit 2 is on economic change, specifically the impact the changing nature of Australia’s population will have on economic growth and living standards.

Before undertaking VCE Economics, you should have satisfactorily completed Year 10 Economics and demonstrated sufficient competency in all skill areas, or be prepared to complete catch-up work. You must undertake Unit 3 prior to undertaking Unit 4.
