The Course

The focus of Units 3 & 4 is on enhancing your ability to communicate mathematically and to understand and solve pure and applied maths problems which leads into fields such as Engineering, Medicine, and Science. The course teaches mathematical thinking, logical thinking, Algebra, Mechanics, Linear and Non-Linear Geometry, Complex Numbers, and Vectors.

Special considerations

Before undertaking VCE Specialist Mathematics, you must have satisfactorily completed Mathematical Methods Unit 1 and 2, and be taking concurrently or have completed mathematical Methods Units 3 and 4.
