The Course

The focus of Units 1 & 2 is on enhancing your ability to communicate and to understand and appreciate socio-cultural contexts, ideas and information. The course promotes understanding of different attitudes and values, and provides you with access to the rich and varied culture of francophone communities around the world.

University study of French, leading to employment in the commerce, translation / interpreting, education, travel and tourism or hospitality industries (among many others).

Special considerations

Before undertaking VCE French, you should have satisfactorily completed 400 French and demonstrated sufficient competency in all skill areas. You must undertake Unit 3 prior to undertaking Unit 4.
