The Course:

Year 10 French continues straight on from Year 9 French; and is a year long subject. Students who have not completed Semester One will be required to sit a proficiency test before completing Semester Two.

Year 10 French Semester Two paves the way for VCE Unit 1 by concentrating on the vocabulary, grammar and skills required for VCE French. You will also concentrate more on the speaking and listening skills that are essential for success.

As with previous units; a heavy emphasis on authentic situations and experiences is a key component of unit planning as is exposure to realia, products and popular culture from France and other French-speaking countries. You will frequently use your computers, both in class and for homework.
